FIESTA viewer is really a user-friendly tool and most of its functionality can be discovered without any help. However, to a proper use of all the viewer's capabilities, it is recommended to read this (brief) guide. If you found FIESTA viewer useful for your research, please cite: "Oliveros, J.C. (2007). The Tabs |
Search |
Combine several thresholds to filter out a set of potentially interesting results. Then press "Search" button to start the filtering process.
For numerical data, use > < >= <= followed by a valid number (e.g. "<0.05").
For textual data write a keyword or a part of a keyword (e.g. "kinas").
For textual data, AND and OR linkers are allowed (e.g. "kinase AND protein", "membrane OR golgi"). NOTE: parenthesis are not allowed. When combining AND and OR linkers in the same pattern, OR precede to AND so "filament AND actin OR miosin" actually means "filament AND (actin OR miosin)".
Values in the same row of the grid are linked by "AND" clauses.
Values in different rows of the grid are linked by "OR" clauses.
In the text box below the grid, introduce an N value > 1 To filter out only repeated (at least N) spot IDs.
Filtered ( ) |
The details of all spots that passed the filter are shown in this table. The number of filtered spots is indicated.
Click on any header to sort the data (click again to change the sense).
N column indicates the number of repeated IDs that passed the filter. Sort to group filtered spots with the same ID.
Move the pointer over any row to highlight it in the plots.
If the results are sorted by N column, identical IDs will be highlighted as a group.
Hold press the mouse left button on any row to focus the Zoom into the corresponding spot.
Double click on any row to automatically select the highlighted spots and add it to the "Selected" table. If already selected, double click again to deselect them.
In some cases, the data in the ID column serves as an hyperlink to a page with more information on the spot.
To export the content of the table to a spreadsheet application (e.g. OpenOffice) use Select All / Copy / Paste options from the browser's Edit menu.
Selected ( ) |
Details of all spots that were selected by hand are shown in the table. The number of manually selected spots is indicated
